How do MileHighCook gift cards work?
You choose an amount, check out securely, and the gift card is emailed instantly with a unique code and your personal message. The recipient shares that code when they book, and it's applied to their bill for any private chef dinner, catering event, wedding, or meal prep.
Do the gift cards expire?
No. MileHighCook gift cards never expire, and any unused balance stays on the card for next time — so a $500 card used toward a $350 dinner leaves $150 for later. Full gift card terms, including what happens to applied credit if a booking is cancelled, are in our Terms of Service.
What can a gift card be redeemed for?
Any MileHighCook service across all 30+ markets in Colorado, Arizona, Utah, and Wyoming — private chef dinners, special-occasion dining, hands-on cooking classes, luxury catering, wedding catering, and weekly meal prep.
Can I send the gift card directly to the recipient?
Yes. At checkout you can add the recipient's name, email, and a personal message, and we'll deliver it straight to them. Prefer to give it yourself? Leave the email blank and we'll send the certificate to you to forward or print.
How much should I give?
Every event we cook is priced to its menu and guest list, so no set amount is promised to cover a specific night. As a guide, private chef dinners typically run $150 to $250 per person: $250 is a head start on a dinner for two, $500 covers a dinner for two at our standard rate, and $1,000 covers a dinner for four. You can also enter any custom amount from $50 to $10,000. Any difference is settled when the date is booked, and anything left over stays on the card.
Can I pay for the entire occasion as a gift?
Yes. Use the Cover the Whole Occasion button and tell us who it is for, the occasion, a rough date, and the guest count. Steve reaches out to plan it with you and prices it. Once the plan is set, you get a gift certificate for the exact amount, ready to give, and the recipient books the date with nothing left to pay.
How is the gift card delivered?
